1st Hole Yards 273 Par 4 Stroke Index 9

This is the longest hole of the golf course and will test your ability to hit long and straight in a controlled manner. A ditch that runs from east to west in the golf course intersects the fairway at approximately 190 yards from the Tee. The green is well hidden from view behind a clump of tall tees- so a bit of dog leg!

Your ideal tee shot is across the ditch but on the right side of fairway, if you can hit long and straight. Most of us would choose to go as near the ditch on the right side of the fairway. Be warned there is a bunker at the exact sweet spot that we may want to land in!

You may want to err on the side of caution and lie in the rough on the right of the fairway.

Getting on the rough on the left of the fairways is not a good idea, because you now have tall trees and a bunker between you and the first green.

The first hole brings most non-believers down to earth. You quickly realise that the course punches well above it's weight !

2nd Hole 162 yards Par 3 Stroke index 5

This runs along the east border of the golf course. A narrow tee area allows you to see the flag 162 yards away but have to be careful because the ditch crosses the fairway just before the green. Your dilemma at the Tee is whether to hit over the ditch - in which case you are at risk of overshooting if you dont get a nice height, or stay before the ditch - in which case you are now posed with a challenging chip, which has to be controlled to clear the wide ditch (5 metres) and not to run too far into the rough beyond the greeen. To penalize you for any excess, you have trees and shrubs beyond the green and further right is an extension of the ditch again!

Right from the Tee until beyond the second green on the left runs an mound of earth, 3-4 odd feet tall, which adds to the challenge for this hole.
3 rd hole yards 141- Par 3 Stroke index 12

The tee for this hole gives a clear view of the 3rd green and perhaps has the widest fairways of the entire course however that is where the easy bit ends. A splice to the right could lead you into the ditch or into the rough beyond the ditch. You are tempted to attack the green and you have enough room to land and roll provided you stay clear of the four bunkers that guard the green. In addition there are a few trees that lie beyond the gree, should you over-shoot.

Generally you will realise that the course is made more challenging by the fact that the greens are not huge. They are well protected by the bunkers and effectively will challenge your ability to land on the spot and control the ball. All the par 3s leave little room for error and if you have done well, at club standards, you will par. It is very difficult to pull a stroke because of the tightness of the greens and the general distances.
4th Hole: 250 years par 4 Stroke Index 13

This is the second par 4 green and though it's a long one at 152 yards, it is probably the most straight forward of all the holes. The fairway is wide and forgiving. The only challenge on this occasion is to be sure that you reach across the ditch, which crosses the fairway around 190 yards from the tee. Clean chip will take you on the green and hopefully you'll par if not gain a stroke if you are in form.

The trouble ofcourse is a few trees and wooded rough on the right or the ditch on the left.

5th Hole : 171 yards par 3 Stroke index 1

This hole is among the south and west border of the golf course and is quite long at 171 yards. Ninety yards on the fairway, the ditch crosses the fairway and your first challenge is to cross the ditch. The job is made even more slightly difficult by the fact that the fairway is pretty narrow to begin with, though it opens out as you cross the ditch. The narrow part of the fairway is marked by trees on both it's sides, quite tall ones! To get a safe lineup on the green, you have to clear up the trees which means a lofted shot. If you get the line a little wrong, you have 2 bunkers as you approach the green. You may do well to clear the green but there are a few shrubs waiting for you to make your life a little tough.

Then there is the wind factor on this hole. The initial part of the fairway is protected by adjoining houses, which stop any wind from affecting your ball-flight-until it crosses the trees and then reaches the ditch. Now to the left is the open grounds and if there are swirling winds you haven't noticed them from your tee! This means so often the ball will drift towards your right and land in the rough between the fifth and the first fairways. Most chips would need to clear the bunkers that makes it very challenging.

6th Hole: 162Yards par 3 Stroke index 15

Tee off from the south west edge of the golf course and head in the direction towards the club house. It is a straightforward hole except the winds tends to swerve your ball to the right. There is a bunker to protect the approach shot and another bunker to the right and behind the green, you if you over shoot. An gentle mound studded with trees flanks most the right side of the 6th fairway and along the approach to the green. This means if your ball floats away on the right, you will now have to chip across the trees to reach the green!

7th Hole: 113 yard par 3 Sroke Index 7

This is a deceptive looking hole that runs along the north border of the golf course. At 113 yards, it is tempting to under rate this hole, but only at your peril! A wide bean shaped water feature ( 12 metres by 8 metres) stretches literally across the fairway just before the green and an equally wider bunker awaits you beyond the green! So you cannot be too overzealous with your tee shot to be safe from the water. A longish mound with its trees are on the left border of the fairway, as you approach the green. Splice to the right and you are out of bounds!

If you want to hit a nice 8 iron or 9 iron or even a pitching wedge to give you a good lofted tee shot to land you on the green - not to near not too far, not to left not to right. If you remember all of the perils described above, then you will tend to hook your tee shot to the left of the mound, which isn't great fun to then jump over the trees and the water feature back on the greens.

8th Hole: 172 yards par 3 Stroke index 3

It's a long par 3, which runs along the west border of the course. An enthusiastic hit could splice the ball out of bounds! Two bunkers flanking the green on it's either sides, punish you for a wayward line. The green is raised almost 3-4 feet. This means you over-do your tee shot or your chip and and you are faced with a difficult chip to get back on the green. And to make matters more challenging, the green itself has an undulation. As it is not a huge green in itself, life isn't as easy judging your putt. Good Luck!
9th Hole: 130 yards par 3 Stroke index 17

From the middle of the course just before the first green you approach the car park.If you are good with your control with 7 or 8 iron, you will find yourself on the green quite easily- provided ofcourse you clear the shrubby tree right in the middleof the fairway! There are no bunkers protecting this green- after all we don't want your last hole to give you a heart-ache, but unless you are accurate with your length and your distance with your short irons, it is not easy to birdie this hole.
